
Stefano Giovanni De Filippis
Flight Safety Manager
Stefano Giovanni De Filippis is a highly
experienced airline captain, flight instructor, and aviation manager with over
11,500 flight hours, including more than 9,300 as Pilot in Command. Born in
1969 and based in Italy, he has served in a variety of roles across both civil
and military aviation, including as a pilot and staff officer in the Italian
Air Force.
Throughout his career,
Stefano has flown a wide range of aircraft, from the Boeing 747-400 and Airbus
A320 to business jets like the Cessna C560 XLS and Piaggio P180. He currently
works as an Airbus A320 Captain , he has also held key management roles such as
Accountable Manager and Postholder in operations and training for several
aviation organizations.
Stefano is certified as
a Type Rating Examiner (TRE), CRM Trainer, and EBT Instructor. His academic
background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the
Italian Air Force Academy, as well as advanced flight training through the Euro
NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training Program in the U.S.
Fluent in Italian and
English, with working proficiency in Spanish, Stefano combines deep technical
knowledge with strong leadership, instructional, and communication
skills—making him a respected figure in both cockpit and classroom.
